1. The agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and hesaplash ("we") for the use of hesaplash (the web app at hesaplash.com and the iOS and Android apps). By creating an account and accepting them in the app you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.
2. What hesaplash does — and does not do
hesaplash records shared expenses, works out who owes whom, reminds people and keeps a simple personal budget. It does not move money. Payments between people happen outside the app; "settle up" only records that a payment was made. Payment details you share (for example an IBAN) are only shown to the people you choose. We are not a bank, payment institution or financial adviser.
Balances are calculated from what members enter. Amounts in other currencies are converted with daily reference rates from public sources; they are indicative and may differ from the rate your bank applies. Text read from receipts (OCR) may be wrong — check it before saving.
3. Your account
You need an account to use the service. Keep your sign-in details safe; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 16 years old; if you are under 18, you may use it with the consent of a parent or guardian. Give a name other members can recognise you by, and do not impersonate anyone.
3a. Guest use
You can use hesaplash without an account by entering a display name and accepting these terms. The Privacy Policy (section 2a) explains what we store for guests.
The access key for a guest profile lives only on your device or browser. If you clear the app or browser data or lose the device, you lose access to that profile. Room data stays with the room, and a room owner or admin can send you a link that hands your place in that room to another account.
Guests can use rooms, but not the personal budget, friends, Pro purchases, saved payment methods or push notifications. If you sign in or sign up on the same device, your guest rooms move to your account and the guest profile is deleted; if your account is already in one of the same rooms, nothing moves. You can delete the guest profile at any time from the account screen. Sections 4 to 11 apply to guests as they do to account holders.
4. Rooms and shared content
What you enter in a room (expenses, comments, receipts, payments) is visible to all members of that room and stays part of the room's record so that balances remain correct, including after you leave or delete your account (you then appear as "Deleted user"). Room owners and admins can manage members and settings; members can add and edit expenses as the room allows. Only invite people who agree to be added, and only add people without an account (by name) when they know about it.
You keep the rights to the content you enter. You give us the permission needed to store, process and show it to the people you share it with, only to provide the service.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use hesaplash to break the law, to harass others, to store content you have no right to share, to send spam invitations, or to probe, overload or circumvent the service's security. The service limits how many requests, invitations and uploads an account can make in a short time. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
6. Plans and limits
The free plan includes up to 20 MB of receipt images; images are kept for 90 days after upload and then deleted automatically (the data read from them stays). hesaplash Pro is a paid subscription. It includes:
- up to 2 GB of receipt images, kept for as long as you have Pro,
- budget details,
- reports and export,
- unlimited fixed costs.
The current features and price are shown in the app before you buy. Prices may vary by country and include taxes.
- Buying: On the web you buy through Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd). Paddle acts as the merchant of record: it takes the payment, issues the invoice and handles taxes and refunds. Paddle's buyer terms also apply to these purchases (https://www.paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms). In the mobile apps you buy through the App Store or Google Play; those purchases follow the store's terms and refund rules.
- Renewal: Unless you cancel, the subscription renews automatically at the end of the period you chose (monthly or yearly) for the same length, and is charged on the renewal date. We tell you about price changes before the new price applies.
- Cancelling: You can cancel at any time. Cancel a web subscription under Account → Plan, and a store subscription in the App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the paid period, and you keep Pro until then.
- Withdrawal and refunds: Consumers keep their statutory right of withdrawal. For your first purchase through Paddle you can ask for a refund without giving a reason within 14 days of buying. Use the link in Paddle's purchase e-mail or write to destek@hesaplash.com. Refunds for store purchases are requested from Apple or Google.
- When Pro ends: Your account goes back to the free plan. Your data is not deleted; only the free plan's limits apply. Receipt images are deleted 90 days after Pro ends (Privacy Policy, section 6).
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep hesaplash available but cannot promise uninterrupted service. We may change or discontinue features; if we discontinue the service we will tell you in advance and give you time to download your data. When these terms change we will show the new version in the app and ask you to accept it before you continue.
8. Ending your use
You can stop at any time and delete your account in the app (Account → Your data); see the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data. We may end or suspend your access for a serious or repeated breach of these terms.
9. Liability
hesaplash is a tool that helps you organise expenses between people, and it is provided "as is".
- Calculations: Balances, converted amounts and OCR results rely on the data you and other members enter and on public exchange-rate sources. They are for information only; check them before making an important payment.
- Payments and debts between people: We are not a party to payments between users. We are not responsible if a member does not pay, pays the wrong amount, or disagrees with other users. The records in the app are not, on their own, an acknowledgement of debt or a legal document.
- Limit of liability: To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage from using the service (such as lost profit or the consequences of lost data). For other damage, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event that caused it.
- Not affected: These limits do not affect liability for intent or gross negligence, damage to life or health, or your rights under Türkiye's Consumer Protection Law No. 6502 and mandatory EU consumer law.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye.
- Consumers in Türkiye: Within the monetary limits set under Law No. 6502, you can apply to the consumer arbitration committee where you live or where the transaction was made; above those limits, to the consumer courts.
- Consumers living in the EU: You keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence and can bring proceedings in its courts.
- Non-consumers: The courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul (Central) have jurisdiction.
If you have a problem, please write to destek@hesaplash.com first; we can usually sort it out quickly that way.
